Our Beliefs

At CDMC Atlanta, we are rooted in the truth of God’s Word and governed by the example and teachings of Jesus Christ. Our beliefs shape our mission, our worship, our relationships, and our daily living.

Core Beliefs

1. The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. It is the foundation for all doctrine, correction, and instruction in righteousness.

2. Salvation Through Jesus Christ

We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. His death, burial, and resurrection make redemption and eternal life available to all who believe.

3. Repentance and New Birth
We believe in true repentance as a turning away from sin and turning toward God. The new birth is the spiritual transformation that occurs through faith in Jesus.

4. Water Baptism
We believe that once a person believes in Jesus Christ, they are welcome to be baptized. Scripture shows the precedent of baptism following belief as a public expression of faith and identification with Christ.

5. Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which is evidenced by speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. This baptism empowers believers to walk in holiness, love, and spiritual authority.

6. Holy Communion (The Lord’s Supper)
We believe that Jesus Christ commanded us to remember Him through communion. We partake not out of ritual, but from obedience and relationship, acknowledging His sacrifice and celebrating our covenant with Him.

7. Manifestation of the Power of God
We believe in divine healing, deliverance from demonic oppression, and the supernatural intervention of God. These manifestations are available to all believers through faith and the power of the Holy Spirit.

8. Unity in the Body of Christ
We believe in Christian unity and fellowship with other believers and churches who confess Jesus Christ as Lord. Unity is essential for the growth and health of the Church.

9. Godly Living
We believe that every disciple should live a holy and consecrated life, marked by humility, love, integrity, and obedience to the Word of God.

10. Education and Discipleship
We believe in training and equipping believers through Bible teaching, discipleship programs, and leadership development. Growth is a continuous process for every believer.

11. The Church’s Role in Society
We believe the Church is called to impact every area of life—spiritual, physical, and social. Our role includes outreach, service, prayer, and advocacy for righteousness in the earth.

12. Eschatology (End Times)
We believe in the imminent, pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the righteous, the final judgment, and the establishment of a new heaven and a new earth.
